Are you amongst the 1 in 5 Australian adults who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)?

OSA is known to increase morbidity (likelihood of ill health) and mortality (likelihood of dying).

The condition is clearly linked to a wide range of serious negative consequences and co-morbidities. How many of these do you already recognise?

  • Persistent loud snoring
  • Waking tiredness
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness
  • Morning headaches
  • Metabolic retardation / weight gain
  • Nocturia (frequent nighttime urination)
  • Pre or type 2 diabetes
  • Low libido / erectile dysfunction
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Bruxism (teeth grinding)
  • Chronic acid reflux
  • High blood pressure
  • Waking choking / gasping
  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
OSA is known to cause or contribute to these conditions.   If you are a persistent, loud snorer and suffer from any of these conditions, you are in a high risk category.

If you are middle aged or older, the likelihood is much higher.   If you are a male, it is higher again.

or enter your details below.  We'll arrange a convenient time to answer your questions and conduct a free, scientifically validated sleep apnea screening.
Your free screening will assess the likelihood of you having a serious sleep disordered breathing condition, and your eligibility for a Medicare rebate
If you are amongst the 1 in 5 Australian adults who have sleep apnea, early diagnosis and treatment is a vitally important health measure.

And now you can get your Medicare approved diagnostic sleep study done in the privacy, convenience, comfort and safety of your own home rather than a hospital or clinical environment.

The diagnostic equipment will be delivered to your door, on a date of your choice.  You do not need to visit a fitting site or stay overnight in a hospital.

For qualifying patients, a generous Medicare contribution applies and the out of pocket expense is very affordable. It is usually far cheaper than the travel time, parking, consultation and other fees associated with other sleep study providers ... and always more comfortable and convenient, with none of the risk exposure associated with hospital or pharmacy-based studies.

Your home-based polysomnogram (diagnostic sleep study) measures exactly what happens while you sleep, just as in a clinic or hospital setting.  Your breathing patterns and stoppages, blood oxygen levels, heart activity, brain activity, sleeping position, limb movements and more are recorded then analysed by a sleep scientist.

Your condition is then accurately diagnosed by an independent specialist sleep and respiratory physician.   The results are provided to your referring doctor and, unlike others, we also provide you with a copy of your report.  This is explained in person, in detail and in plain English, so you know exactly what you are dealing with.

For most people, there is simply no need or reason to travel to a sleep physician for a preliminary appointment ... beause we do the preliminary screening tests over the phone, for free.

Get in touch and we will answer your questions and help you with everything.  If you wish, we will conduct a free screening to assess the severity of your condition, and your Medicare elgibility.  No cost, no obligation.
What is involved in doing a home-based sleep study?
Once you contact us, we pretty much look after the rest.

After confirming we are able to give you the care you need, we will talk you through the Medicare screening procedure and generate the necessary referral documentation for you to have signed by your GP. (A GP referral is necessary for the Medicare contribution.)

If you don't have a regular doctor, or if your doctor doesn't provide telehealth consultations, we can provide the details of online GPs who consult and provide referrals over the phone.

We will then arrange for the delivery of a diagnostic unit to your home on the day you choose for your sleep study.

Your assigned Sleep Therapist will be in touch to make sure everything is set up and functioning properly … and then you simply follow your normal nightly routine.

Take all of your usual medications.  Eat when you normally do, and have a drink or two if that is your usual routine.
In order to get the best possible recording of how you typically sleep … you need to sleep typically.

Home-based sleep studies are obviously ideal for this very reason.

When you are ready, go to bed.

The diagnostic recorder will begin recording once you fall asleep.  It’s as simple as that.

As soon as we receive the recorder back (in the Express delivery satchel we provide) the recorded data will be scored by a Sleep Scientist.

A formal diagnosis and prescription will then be provided by a specialist Australian Sleep & Respiratory Physician.

Importantly, both the reporting Sleep Scientist and Sleep Physician are both completely independent

You can therefore be confident your diagnosis and treatment recommendations really are the best for you.

There is no need to visit and stay in a sleep lab.  No need to visit a site for fitting.

There is no need for it to be difficult or expensive or unpleasant, at all.
"The best way to do a sleep study, for sure, and the results have been startling."
- Louise Child
That's why we built a better system.  Now, instead of requiring you to get to the technology, we get the technology to you.

We've now helped almost a thousand Australians get their sleep studies done in the privacy, comfort and convenience of their own bedroom.  In the vast majority of cases, they have been eligible for a generous Medicare contribution.

Interestingly, many of our patients are ‘refugees’ from mainstream sleep labs where their sleep study failed, due to lack of sleep.  Why go through the appointments, travel, parking hassles and rigmarole associated with sleep labs, which don't guarantee a result, when you can  now do your study in the comfort and convenience of your own bed?

Why choose Sleep Clinic Services?

We'll let our patients explain...

Our Guarantee To You...
Getting you a good diagnostic result and clear path forward is our prime objective.

That's why we guarantee our in home sleep studies will deliver a successful diagnostic report.

No other sleep study provider does this.

We do it because you're a person, not a 'case'.

And conducting first class home-based sleep studies is our core business, not merely a side line or money-making use of beds.

Our particular expertise is making sleep studies available to people who don't have the time, ability or inclination to travel to a site for fitting, or to stay overnight in a sleep lab.

That's why we're a preferred supplier to the Royal Flying Doctor Service; it's the reason we've been accredited as training providers for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; and it's the reason why many leading companies choose us for sleep studies associated with the health and safety of their employees.
